Ever since Jennifer and Marc finalized their divorce, I'm not so interested in celebrity marriage failings. I like to focus on the few amazing examples in my real life of successful marriages. I know before I ever even utter "divorce", it will be after nothing more was left to do. And that's what is so sad about the state of marriage today. Where is the commitment in marriage? She wants the clock, and he wants the lamp. What about the heart?
A couple of years back a friend told me that it was sad that her thoughts before the wedding were "If it doesn't work out - we'll get a divorce". I always remember that and reflect at how times have changed.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for dropping by here!! I thought my comment posted before! Yeah, it's a shame... I am all for divorce if a couple has done everything possible and it would be truly honoring both their spirits to not be together, but I'm not for it otherwise. I'm for stay single if you're not ready for that commitment.
