International Kissing Day was officially adopted by the United Nations Organization about 20 years ago.

This holiday has recently been adopted worldwide making July the 6th

the International Kissing Day or World Kiss Day.

The idea behind the International Kissing Day is that many people may

have forgotten the simple pleasures associated with kissing

 for kissing's sake, as opposed to kissing as mere 

social formality or prelude to other activities. Kissing can be

an enjoyable experience in and of itself. It is an expression

and experience of intimacy. International Kissing Day is not

as commercialized as Valentine's Day.

What You Can Do On This Day!:

National Kising Day is a day

to show someone your feelings toward them if they weren't

aware or by reminding someone who already knows!

Anyhoo, from what I've read from the twitter trending topic, lots of people are complaining that they didn't get their kiss!  When really, that's not so much the point!  Although, as I sit here in my bed... wait a minute, what happened to my kiss!?  hahaha!  Let me tell you about what I did for World Kissing Day:

1. Gave my mother an extra special smoocherific kiss on the cheek.
2. Sent my favorite men (the "unattached" ones) virtual kisses.
3. Sent Kisses over Facebook and Twitter.

Maybe that's not a big deal, but I love any extra special opportunity to give more extra love, hugs, and kisses!  So, while I wish, I had a main squeeze to share a special passionate kiss with, I also wish I was around more of my friends today so I could freely and unabashedly shower them wish special loving platonic type kisses!

 Mmmmmmmuuuuuaaaaaaahh!
